Mickela Mallozzi takes a journey along The Crooked Road, Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail. In Part 2 at the Old Fiddler’s Convention in Galax, Virginia, she attends a flatfooting workshop taught by Julie Shepherd-Powell, meets dancers who came from the UK to compete in the flatfooting competition, and see’s Ben Harmon (“Friday Night Fixture” from the Floyd Country Store’s Friday night Jamboree) and his clogging group perform on stage!
Mickela, I smiled and I laughed! Good show. . .! Cowboy boots, eh? Yeehaw! Also, for a moment , I thought you were gonna come out in one of those “dresses,” you know what I mean, and dance with the Friday Night Fixtures. By the way they seem to float across the dance floor when they dance. It’s fun to watch. From your “fan” in Colorado. Happy Trails to you. . .!
