About Mickela Mallozzi
Mickela Mallozzi – dancer/traveler/Bare Feet™ Web Series host
Originally the assistant to one of the world’s most famous metal rock bands (Slipknot), Mickela quit her job to start a journey around the world, taking her camera with her to follow dance in the lives of everyday people wherever she went. She is the host and creator of the Bare Feet™ Web Series, and she and her company have been featured alongside Anthony Bourdain on Travel + Escape (Canada’s top travel site and TV network), Travelocity, Purewow.com, Women’s Radio, and Canada.com. Mickela is a classically trained dancer as well as a trained musician and is very much inspired by folk dances from around the globe. She teaches at prestigious dance studios including The Ailey Extension and Locust Performing Arts Center, and she has danced and performed on various television shows including Sesame Street, The Doctor Oz Show, TBS’s Movie and a Makeover, NBC’s The Today Show, ABC News Today, CBS, Fox News, and more!
About Bare Feet™
Bare Feet™ is a travel web series and blog featuring the different ways people celebrate together around the world, with a focus on dance, music and traditional culture. Host and producer Mickela Mallozzi started the Bare Feet™ blog to live her dream of traveling the world and learning other cultures through tradition and art. The Bare Feet™ Web Series is an extension of the entire Bare Feet™ project and continues the mission of dance and travel. Follow Mickela and her global adverntures as she experiences the world, one dance at a time!
