The Bare Feet™ Launch Party

Last month, we kicked off the launch of the Bare Feet™ Web Series in Italy in style! In celebration of signing with Big Frame, one of YouTube's new media companies, we had an Italian-inspired festa in New York City full of food, drink, and music! The event could not have been as amazing as it was without the support from our host La Casa Italiana Zarilli-Marimó, along with our other incredibly generous sponsors Colavita USA, City Winery New York, Anheuser-Busch, and The Ailey Extension. A special thanks goes out to our musical entertainment for the evening, Emilio Magnotta on accordion; to our photographer, Frank Hill; to the lovely Rashida Bolden of Color My Face for making me look so spectacular; and of course to my family whose constant support (and need to feed everyone) has always been an inspiration to me!  As an official channel of the Big Frame network, Bare Feet™ will continue to bring you more dance-inspired adventures from around the world - stay tuned!

And along with the Big Frame news that evening, I announced the launch of the upcoming Bare Feet™ Tours to be offered later this year. As an initiative to bring Bare Feet™ back to its roots, we are partnering with small tour companies, the first to be Walks of Italy, to offer a day tour in Puglia, Italy. Not only will the tour feature the beautiful sites of Bari and its history, but it will also include workshops and dance sessions of the local traditional dance, la pizzica! The Bare Feet™ Tours are directly inspired by actual episodes that have aired or will soon be airing so that viewers can experience firsthand the wonderful dances I get to learn in all of these amazing places!
