Celebrating Women's History Month
March is Women's History Month, and we have already kicked off the first half of this month with some incredibly inspiring events! As co-director of the first, ever Women's Travel Fest (with founder Kelly Lewis and co-director Masha Vapnitchnaia), I was completely overwhelmed with the success (and the positive response!) from this year's undertaking. Over 350 women joined us in New York City on International Women's Day to help inspire, empower, and to take on the world together! It truly was a magical day - mark your calendars for next year's event, scheduled for Mother's Day weekend in San Francisco! Follow #WTFest to see the photos, tweets, and posts from this inspiring day, and be sure to browse thru all of the recaps from the following: The Travel Channel, Matador Network, Travel With Kate, and Galavante2Go! Special thanks to our festival sponsors Go Girl! Guides, Expedia, Curacao, and G Adventures!
Secondly, I had the honor of presenting at the first Women In Travel Summit in Chicago with some of my favorite female travelers, Courtney Scott and Gariné Tcholakian - the three of us shared our insight on how we each do what we do in regards to travel vlogging, building our own brands, and living our lives driven by our passions. Thank you again to all who participated - we had a blast!
